Meet Our Church Staff!

 

Senior Pastor 

 

Pastor John White is from Mobile, AL where he accepted Christ and was called to ministry.  John met and married his wife Jennifer, while working as a youth leader at Saraland First Assembly of God.  John joined the U.S. Army shortly after he and Jennifer were married.  John and Jennifer have two children together:  Ashley and Christian.

 

John and Jennifer began their ministry working as youth leaders and then on to be youth pastors in various places.  They worked in youth ministry for 12 years before moving into new areas of ministry.  John has served as teacher, Men’s Ministry leader, Associate Pastor, as well as a 9 month period as Interim Pastor of Creola Assembly of God, in Creola Alabama.  He also served at Lifeline Assembly of God in Radcliff, KY as Associate Pastor of Adult ministries. 

 

He is a Certified Minister with the Assemblies of God.  John completed his studies in the Kentucky School of Ministry with the Kentucky District of Assemblies of God and is pursuant to advance in credentialing.

    Four years ago I accepted the challenge of evangelism chairperson for our church. One of the first programs the pastor and I developed was the Sunday morning greeter program.

Even in the smaller church with limited personnel, it is important to coordinate people and ministry as much as possible.

    “I tried, but no one ever called me” are painful words for a leader who has much work to do and not enough people willing to do it. These words are painful for the person who wanted to contribute, but was never called. These are also painful words for a person who is committed to helping people connect and contribute in meaningful ways within the church.
